This trifle is perfect for a summer party, picnic or a family dessert! You can take advantage of all the fresh fruit this time of the year. And best of all there is no baking required.
2 – 5 oz. packages of vanilla pudding
2 cups of Milk
1 – 12 oz. container of cool whip
Various Fruit of your choice – blueberries, strawberries, black berries, raspberries, kiwi, peaches are just a few suggestions
1/4 – 1/2 cup Peach Schnapps (optional)
Roasted cinnamon sprinkled on each serving (optional)
Combine milk and pudding mix well until smooth. Add cool whip and hand mix until blended place in refrigerator. If you are using fruit that has to be sliced; slice and place all fruit to be used in the refrigerator.
Using a trifle bowl or a large bowl; break half of the cake into small chunks. Add to the bowl. Arrange fruit so you can see it through the bowl, you may also want to put some on top of the cake. If using Schnapps drizzle half on the cake fruit mixture. Add 1/2 of the cool whip mixture. Then repeat the next layer. Once that is complete place in refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
